Northern Stage is seeking a Producer

Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

£29,000 per annum

Northern Stage is a theatre where ideas meet, and futures change. Every year thousands come to create and share unique live experiences: our home in Newcastle is an inspirational and creative place where everyone is welcome. Whether it is on one of our three stages (with a combined 700 seats), or any place that creativity is to be found, we work with an ever-expanding network of talented people to share the most entertaining, surprising and imaginative stories from around the world.  We champion high quality mid-scale theatre production and touring, backed up by our industry-leading facilities and a dash of Geordie genius.  We reach beyond the ordinary, every time.

The Producer works alongside the Artistic Director, Head of Producing and Creative Associate as a member of the Artistic Planning team, to develop and deliver a programme of high quality produced, presented and artistic projects.  The Producer is a production-focussed role, and acts as the central point of communication for all performance activities within the company.  The Producer coordinates work across all areas, with a particular emphasis on in-house productions and programming visiting works.

Our promise is to be a place where people of all backgrounds can come together to change the world around us.  Northern Stage is an equal opportunities employer, and our goal is to create a diverse and inclusive working environment which reflects the city we live and work in and the communities and audiences we engage with.  Our colleagues have unique and varied lived experience which positively informs and influences the work we make.  Our recruitment process is open to all, and we particularly encourage applications from people of colour and D/deaf, disabled and neurodivergent people who are currently under-represented in our sector.
