Our Eskmeals site is used for testing and training purposes, particularly for naval gunfire support and naval aviation training. Specific activities at Eskmeals might include:

Naval Gunfire Support Training: Eskmeals is used for testing and training naval gunfire support, which involves naval vessels providing fire support to ground forces.

Naval Aviation Training: The range may also be utilized for naval aviation training, including exercises involving aircraft from the Royal Navy.

Research and Development: Eskmeals may be involved in research and development activities related to naval and military technologies.

The role:

As a Technician you’ll have a varied role that is out of the ordinary. You’ll be providing support to the delivery of trials, selection and transportation of ammunition to ranges, inventory management, housekeeping of explosives buildings and general ammunition management duties.

Day-to-day, you’ll be involved with the following:

• Preparation of Ammunition for trials and proof activities including delivery to the Ranges.
• Receipt and dispatch of ammunition, including accurate completion of all relevant documentation.
• Stock checking/inventory management.
• Inspection of licenced Explosives buildings.
• Control of entry into explosives areas.
• Supporting the site on any task for which you are competent.

Skills and experience of the Technician:

For this position, we are happy to accept a wide range of experience from various different sectors. We will be able to train you and give you the relevant on job experience. There are also many different progression opportunities as a Technician.

Qualifications for the Technician:

Please note that all applicants must be eligible for SC clearance, as a minimum.
