TWENTY speakers and over 150 attendees are gathering in Aberdeen on Saturday 11 May 2024 to bridge the gap between research and practice in education.

Researchers, teachers, school leaders, academics, policy-makers and education authors feature across the exciting researchED Scotland programme taking place at Robert Gordon’s College.

Kirsten Colquhoun, Event Organiser, said: “Building on the success of our inaugural Aberdeen conference in 2022, we’re thrilled to bring it back again this year. We’re delighted to welcome speakers from all over the world to join us in facilitating a significant day of insightful discussions and valuable learning opportunities.”

Bringing the conference to Aberdeen for its second year, Robin Macpherson, Head of Robert Gordon’s College, added: “the researchED movement has really empowered teachers in using strategies that are supported by education research, rather than just being expected to follow the latest fad. It has provided a space for everyone involved in education to come together for the benefit of learners, and we’re delighted to have such a diverse range of speakers. As well as learning from the sessions, it’s also a great chance to meet new people working in different sectors. Our last conference was a huge success, and this one promises to be every bit as good.”

Tickets are available to book online, including student rates and a lower price for those struggling with the cost of living, at https://researched.org.uk/event/researched-aberdeen-uk/.

The education conference has featured in London, Amsterdam, Philadelphia, Cape Town, Chile, Dubai, Geneva, Melbourne, Toronto and many more locations throughout the world. researchED is a grass-roots, teacher-led organisation founded in 2013 and has grown from a tweet to an international conference movement. You can follow the conference on Twitter by using the hashtag #rEDAberdeen, or following the @researchEDScot1 account.
