England’s ‘best caravan park’ named with stays under £70 a night

With thousands of and parks across the UK, it might be hard to decide where to spend your holiday this year, but to help holidaymakers make their decision experts from Go Outdoors have created their ranking of the “best caravan parks in the UK”. Though the , the second place spot went to an English campsite which also boasts its own glamping facilities.

Buckle Grove Holiday Park is nestled in the heart of Somerset at the foot of the Mendip Hills and is surrounded by beautiful vistas across the Cheddar Valley. You can even see as far as the iconic Glastonbury Tor. The campsite prides itself on being perfect for families, and though it is small it hosts an array of amenities.

As well as a selection of pitches of tents and caravans, Buckle Grove Holiday Park is also home to holiday homes and even luxury accommodations complete with hot tubs. And you don’t need to shell out loads to stay here either.

Express.co.uk independently searched the campsite’s current availability on Campsites.co.uk and found a four-night stay in one of the luxury offers and four stays on offer in July for just £255. That works out to just £63.74 per night.

The experts from Go Outdoors said: “Bucklegrove Holiday Park is the best caravan site in England and is second on the list.

“Situated between Cheddar and Wells in Somerset, the site is rated 4.4 stars out of five by users, and it is loved for its clean facilities and stunning views of the Somerset Levels and Brent Knoll.

“The park is pet-friendly, meaning your four-legged friend doesn’t have to miss out on the holiday.

“The on-site games room, swimming pool and entertainment facilities provide activities for everyone throughout the week, with a weekend stay in July costing around £79.”

The holiday park features a heated indoor swimming pool open for all guests to enjoy between 9am and 5pm or until 6pm in the school holidays. There is also The Lodge Bar, Grill and Restaurant serving up food and drinks every Friday and Saturday in the winter and most evenings in the summer season.

Those staying in camping or gleaming facilities can make the most of the shared toilet and heated shower facilities. Buckle Grove Holiday Park also features a games room, a kids’ playground and often has entertainment.
