In just over one week’s time, Prince Harry will have returned to UK soil, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games – but it is yet to be confirmed where he will be staying during his visit.

The Duke of Sussex will attend a Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8 as Invictus Games celebrates a “decade of changing lives and saving lives through sport”. The prince is also set to give a reading.

In September 2023, he was in London for the WellChild Awards. Harry was offered a chance to stay at Balmoral Castle with King Charles but the Duke’s itinerary made it impossible, and instead he stayed in a hotel.

It emerged Harry also asked for a room at Windsor Castle during this visit, but the request was denied by the King due to short notice.

In the first major health update since his cancer diagnosis in February, Buckingham Palace said King Charles “will shortly return to public-facing duties after a period of treatment and recuperation following recent cancer diagnosis”, which may encourage Prince Harry to visit his father as he shares the good news.
