Plans have been submitted to continue using a car park to train new drivers – following enforcement action.

RC Browne and Son has submitted plans to West Suffolk Council, hoping to change the use of a car park at Heath Farm Business Centre, in Fornham All Saints, near Bury St Edmunds.

The site is currently in use by Smart Driving Group, which teaches pupils how to ride motorcycles and drive cars.

If approved, the existing classroom and storage would remain in place.

The car park was once used by businesses at the park. However, changes mean it is now not needed.

Up to four students could be accommodated at once and classes would operate between 8.15am to 4.30pm, while the site would be open between 8am and 6pm.

According to planning documents, the proposals were submitted after enforcement action was taken.
