The UK arm of nightclub operator Rekom Group has separated from its parent company and rebranded to Neos Hospitality.

Rekom UK rebrands to Neos Hospitality – The Spirits Business
Neos Hospitality (formerly Rekom UK) operates 24 venues across England and Wales

Rekom UK, the nation’s largest nightlife operator, called in administrators last year. The company has now parted ways with its owner, Danish nightclub firm Rekom Group, and will be controlled by its main lender, investment group ACG.

Now known as Neos Hospitality, the Cardiff-based company stressed that its venues and day-to-day operations would not be affected by the change.

Neos Hospitality will be led by CEO Russell Quelch, while Peter Marks and the existing management team will continue in their current roles.

“We are excited to embark on this new chapter,” said Quelch. “The team has laid a solid foundation and, together with our new owner, we are committed to further developing and growing the business and achieving success across the UK.”

Neos Hospitality operates 24 venues across England and Wales, including Heidi’s Bier Bar, Proud Mary and Bar & Beyond.

It’s not the first time the company has undergone a name change. Before being known as Rekom UK, the company was named Deltic and was the largest nightclub group in the UK.

Deltic was bought out of administration by Rekom Group in 2020.

Data from the Night Time Industries Association revealed that 35% of independent nightclubs in the UK closed between March 2020 and December 2023.
