Healthcare is a really important factor to consider before making the decision to relocate overseas as a British expat.

But which of the world’s cities has the best healthcare?

According to a study by the expat experts at William Russell, Taipei, the capital of Taiwan has the world’s best healthcare.

The team looked at the quality of healthcare, the number of healthcare staff, the quality of equipment and the cost to find the world’s best system.

A spokesperson said: “Among the many things we could say to recommend the Taipei healthcare system, it has incredibly short waiting times and fantastic accessibility.

“This could be down to the fact Taipei boasts an incredible 76.6 hospital beds per 1,000 people.”

People living in Taiwan also benefit from quick GP access with state-funded services available to expats as well.

Seoul, the capital of South Korea, has the world’s second best healthcare system with one of the world’s highest life expectancies.

In Europe, the Hague topped the rankings. The Dutch city has five world-class hospitals offering quality healthcare to residents.

Valencia, one of Spain’s top expat destinations, just missed out on a top three spot with its excellent healthcare system.

Glasgow was the highest-ranking British city, scraping a place in the top 10 best cities for healthcare.
